Mike Sawicki

Picture of Mike SawickiMike co-founded DefaultRoute, Inc. in January 2008 with his good friend and colleague Chuck Lin. Also, just thought we’d tell you that he’s in a long-term relationship with Unix and open source software. We don’t want to boast but they’ve been tight for years.

Mike’s always on the lookout for innovative solutions to web traffic surges, ways to keep his servers secure, and telling everyone that they’re crazy for not using encryption everywhere. We know, we know.. (that you’re right).

Mike heads our Operations Management group, and manages the infrastructure that powers all of our hosted products and services. He also oversees the administrative and financial operations of the company. His concerns for security, reliability, and cohesiveness in the infrastructure of DefaultRoute are just some of the reasons why he’s a great part of the team.

Mike lives in Seattle, WA with his wife and daughter. He enjoys British pop from the 80′s, photography, and staring at Mt. Rainier.
